Absolutely, this would fall more under our consulting arm of the business which is based around information sessions with decision makers in organisations workshoping  and understanding both their requirements and the telecommunications industry and the constant changes within it.

In short yes we can, SwitchIT has built our business around assisting organisations on understanding and replacing infrastructure were required, bearing in mind that not every organisation we see do we recommend a change.

Often we assist organisations in improving existing infrastructure and business process enabling them to sweat the current assest while budgeting and developing a technology roadmap for themselves.

SwitchIT is not prescriptive on the size of the organisation that we engage with, as we have been involved in may projects with clients that have grown exponentially over the years. Obviously there is a requirement that should you wish to implement cost savings there is a spend needed. Having said this we will always recommend meeting with us and we will be able to assess rather quickly whether your organisation has scope for cost reductions.

We do not offer any brands, we have access to any brand available in the South African Telecommunication market and will assist you in brand and vendor selection once your organisational requirements are understood and clearly defined.

There is no one brand fits all strategy and it is necessary for most organisations to not only consider the technology needs of the organisation but also current vendors and suppliers to it.

It is our belief that this is one of the key differentiators of our organisation. We ensure that what has been scoped, sourced and procured is implemented as was intended. There is little or no point in selecting a product if it is not implemented correctly.

We ensure that there is no scope creep from either the vendor or client perspective, through this process we also introduce the relative parties to one another and set the foundation for a productive relationship.

The short answer is yes. It is our belief that this will become the next “big” thing in the South African market. So many players have entered the telecoms space and we see an increase in uncertainty amongst some of our prospective customers around the fact that they are unsure if they are getting the deal they signed for.

The market has chosen to compete very much on a Rand per minute type model, however there are many factors that can influence the outcome. It is our opinion that any company should have a view of its overall telecoms costs and should be able to evaluate that in any way.

We are able to help you build a generic solution and source offers from any of the leading vendors in South Africa. We as part of our evaluation, sit with our customers and select the vendors they would like to engage with.

We do not only advise you to talk to a “selected” few as this narrows the potential for effective solutions. We will however advise our clients accordingly should we believe that they are making a poor decision.

Having been asked this question many times over the years, we have learnt that the answer is quite simple really. We KNOW telecoms. There are many companies that compete in the telecoms space and it is often difficult for a company to differentiate offerings.

This leads to the age old decision making criteria of price. We acknowledge that price is important and always ensure that our customers are receiving market related prices, however there is so much more that needs to be considered.

We are able to help our customer’s identify the necessary requirements within their organisation as well confidently evaluate the offers they have received.
